Counselling

Counselling is a form of talking therapy that will help you understand and manage some difficult symptoms of mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression or OCD and trauma as these emotional issues may be impacting your life in ways that no longer serve you. 


In between your counselling sessions, I may suggest trying small experiments, applying some of the strategies we’ve discussed so that you can gradually embed these useful processes into your everyday life. I find my clients are soon noticing significant changes. You will obtain greater self knowledge, be supported to cultivate self compassion and learn practical and realistic ways to prioritise and incorporate self care into your daily life.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an incredibly effective time tested system of complementary medicine. According to traditional Chinese medicine philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's ability to move energy (Qi). When Qi levels are out of balance or become blocked this will result in pain or illness. Acupuncture can be used on acupoints to free the flow of Qi and improve wellbeing. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

EFT is a very powerful yet gentle method of balancing the body's energy system. It rebalances the energy channels so that emotional harmony may be restored. EFT can be used to treat both physical and emotional imbalance through simply tapping with the fingertips on acupressure points on the head, chest and hands. At the same time you will be guided to make positive statements that focus on making improvements such as increasing self confidence, overcoming phobias or reducing pain. EFT provides rapid results and creates powerful lasting change.

Reflexology

Reflexology relaxes the body, calms the mind, and gently soothes the emotions through applying gentle pressure to reflex points on the feet. These points correspond to different body organs and systems, and pressing them has a beneficial effect on organs and overall health. For example, a specific spot in the arch of the foot corresponds to the kidney point. Through applying pressure with thumb or finger to this area, it has a healing effect on kidney functioning through dispersing energy blockages. The energy released creates a wonderful feeling of inner peace as tension is dissolved. Many people use reflexology to complement other treatments when addressing conditions like stress, asthma, headaches, PMS and hormonal imbalance.
